The “Be–Do–Have” Revelation

We’ve had it backwards all along. It’s not do more → have more → be happy. It’s Be → Do → Have. Because when you start being — calm, aligned, and connected — everything you do flows naturally, and everything you have begins to reflect peace and balance.

Let’s stay connected

Think of this as a quiet moment in your inbox - Notes on Hormones, Healthy & Beautiful Soft Living.

This concept has been coming up for me a lot lately — Be. Do. Have.

I’ll be honest, the first time I heard about this was actually in a financial class! So it’s not as woo woo as it sounds… stay with me.

We live in a world that celebrates doing. Productivity. Hustle. The next thing. The next fix.

And in the health space, that can easily translate into more supplements, more steps, more strategies, better morning routines and simply just more noise.

But what if true healing — especially hormonal healing — doesn’t start with doing more, but with being?

In my work (and in my own life), I’ve seen it so often. Women doing all the right things. They’re eating the right foods, exercising, journaling, taking the right supplements, saying affirmations, and yet… they still feel off. Still tired. Still anxious. Still disconnected.

Because the truth is, when your nervous system is stuck in constant doing mode, your body doesn’t feel safe enough to heal.

Your hormones don’t feel safe enough to balance.

Your body needs moments of being. Of rest. Stillness. Connection. Breath.

That’s when cortisol lowers. That’s when digestion improves. That’s when your body starts to trust you again.

Be → Do → Have

It’s not about doing more. It’s about being aligned — so what you do flows naturally, and what you have reflects peace and balance.

Bewho you already are. Loved. Capable. Guided. Chosen. Redeemed. Whole. When you remember your true identity, your nervous system settles, your body feels safe, and your hormones can finally find balance.

Dowhat flows from that grounded knowing. You eat to nourish, move to feel good, rest without guilt, and show up with intention — not to prove your worth, but to live from it.

Havethe natural fruit of alignment. Peace. Gentleness. Goodness. Joy. Love. Kindness. Self-Control.

The things you’ve been chasing begin to flow, not because you’re forcing them, but because you’re finally living from who you truly are.

A Real-Life Example

This showed up for me recently in the smallest way.

My son keeps leaving his plate in the lounge after eating. Every single day, I find it there and take it to the kitchen.

And it’s funny... because I used to do the exact same thing when I was young.

I can still hear my mom’s voice saying, “I hope your kids do this to you one day.”

And here we are. They are.

What was once spoken out of frustration, I now see as something I can redeem.

What was intended as a moment of irritation, I now turn into an opportunity for intercession.

So instead of reacting, lecturing, or feeling frustrated, I’ve started using that moment to pause and pray for him — for protection, for peace, for blessings over his life.

It might sound small, but that’s the heart of transformation — when a pattern that once caused stress becomes a place of peace.

That’s being.

And maybe one day, when he’s grown, he’ll remember not how many times I told him to take his plate to the kitchen, but how calm and loving I was while doing it.

It doesn’t mean I’ll never correct him on this, but right now, this is my practice of being — choosing peace over irritation, love over control.

That’s what this phase of my life (and honestly, this season of perimenopause) is teaching me — to shift from reacting to responding.

To let my “being” guide my “doing.”

The Hormone Connection

When you’re constantly pushing - doing your body is flooded with cortisol — the stress hormone.

That stress response throws off everything: estrogen, progesterone, thyroid function, insulin balance.

But when you pause, breathe, and simply be, you shift your nervous system from survival to safety.

You lower cortisol. You restore communication between your brain and your hormones.

You move from chaos to coherence.

That’s when your body says, “I can exhale now.”

And from that place, everything changes — your habits, your energy, your relationships, even your sense of purpose.

We often think the order goes like this:

“If I do all the right things — eat clean, work out, stay disciplined — then I’ll have the results I want… and then I’ll finally be happy, calm, and confident.”

Or, “If I just had more energy, I’d do all the things — and then I’d finally be happy.”

But that’s backwards.

The real shift happens when you flip it:

First, Be — the woman you want to become.

Act from that energy now.

When you choose peace, presence, and groundedness first, the doing naturally aligns.

And the having — the results, the health, the balance — flow from that.

It’s really hard for our modern, “fix-it-now” brains to understand because we’ve been conditioned to earn our worth through doing.

But the truth is — your body, your hormones, and your healing all start responding the moment you start being who you’re meant to be, not waiting for everything to line up perfectly first.

So maybe today isn’t about adding one more thing to your list.

Maybe it’s just about being — showing up calm, grounded, and kind to yourself.

Because the woman you want to become?

She’s already in there.

She’s just waiting for you to slow down long enough to see her.

This is exactly what we practice inside The Fabulous Formula — learning to lead your hormones, your energy, and your life from that calm, grounded place.

Because balance isn’t something you chase… it’s something you become.

With grace, always,

Karin
